Fieldguide

I joined Fieldguide as the first external people leadership hire with a focus on helping us to become the world’s leader in applying AI to audit and advisory. I support 18 people across 3 teams that focus on Financial Audit, our excel-like data grid system, and our document processing and reporting. In addition to engineering leadership and strategic support, I focus on leading our LLM developer experience strategy, manage our contractor relationships, and technical processes as we scale.

U.S. Congress

Through the TechCongress program, I had the opportunity to work within the U.S. Congress on policy involving quantum computing, Artificial Intelligence, and other emerging technologies. I staffed the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee for Congress Bowman from NY. In my time there I led the initial formation and proposal for the Quantum Consortium of New York, got major amendments passed including in the National Quantum Initiative Reauthorization Act and the CREATE AI Act, and worked across the Public Interest Technology ecosystem to support initiatives around the United States.

Meta

While at Meta I grew from an entry level engineer into a staff engineer, and ultimately into an engineering manager. Much of that growth was through the process of leading our engineering effort to support B2B advertisers on the platform. I led many projects including building out B2B Targeting, B2B Ranking, parts of Conversion Leads, and the Payload Helper. These efforts went on to become core to the company, to the point that they’ve been mentioned consistently in company quarterly earnings since Q3 2021. The initiatives eventually grew to the point that I was able to grow and manage teams, and eventually, multiple teams.

IBM

At IBM I had the opportunity to work on their Hybrid Cloud Product (Bluemix at the time) with a focus on using Machine Learning to support the security team. The tools started in anomaly detection and ultimately grew into various parts of the platform. By the time I left the company I had created a sub-team that was focused on growing our machine learning practice and spinning up product capabilities within our particular domain.
