Who am I? An engineering leader, investor, entrepreneur, creator, and advocate for social equity with a hunger to serve the public interest. That journey has taken me through startups like Fieldguide, FAANG organizations like Meta, and even a stint in Congress working on tech policy. I'm as intrigued by the nuts and bolts required to build engineering systems and organizations at scale as I am about the societal ramifications of said systems. I find joy in continuously learning and supporting others as they grow themselves.
Professionally, I currently work at Fieldguide, where I lead three teams applying AI to the audit and advisory space. My charter includes building a world-class data grid, a best-in-class document management system, and launching a new business line focused on financial audits. Prior to this, I worked at Meta where I led and launched several projects that reached over a billion users across Facebook and Instagram - primarily in B2B and Lead Generation for large technology and financial services companies. Between these roles, I spent a year in Congress as a TechCongress Fellow, working on emerging technology policy with a focus on underrepresented communities. Earlier in my career, I was a software engineer at IBM, where I applied machine learning to strengthen the security infrastructure of their hybrid cloud platform.
In addition to my professional work, I’ve been committed to making meaningful contributions to communities. I led The Onyx Group, an organization dedicated to empowering underrepresented communities through technology and tech policy. I also partnered with the University of Pittsburgh to found the Minority Association in Computing and served as a founding member of the School of Computing and Information Alumni Board. This work built on earlier experiences with programs like YCore and Code2040, where I mentored youth, developed community initiatives, and advocated for systemic change.
Beyond those, I have a number of interests and passion areas that I’ve written about more here. These constantly evolve so consider them a sliding window based on what’s piquing my interest at the moment. Thank you for taking the time to read this in full.
